Mine just pushed back a day too. Though mine is in the destination rail yard & just waiting on a truck at this point according to the dealer, so I doubt it'll take til Saturday.
While I saw a lot of good reviews of Five Star, then seemed the least responsive of the dealers I talked to. I guess I'm glad that North Central came in the lowest. :-/

Mine is set to be built next week (Week 10 by my count) it looks like. It just showed up as In Production. So perhaps mine will use up some of the last batch of Magnaride setups.
I think much of the Mustang's current size is dictated by safety regs + 4 seats + usable trunk + room for a V8. But I agree, they do seem pretty huge. I'd love an example of a car returning to simpler roots, I honestly can't think of one. Some of that is dictated by safety regs, but other bits...
Well, the ship has sailed on simplicity. And cheapness. As for adding lightness, I'm all for it, but there goes your affordability angle. Aluminum & CF aren't cheap.
That does make a lot of sense 6 years isn't long for a platform. Especially a relatively low volume platform.
I'm totally making this up, but I could see them updating the S550 with more aluminum now that they have all that F150 experience. That would improve performance and help them hit...
That's what I was thinking. Perhaps I'll call the Sales Manager assigned to my order. Or maybe they'll be more responsive now that it's after month end.

Does the dealer get an order number as soon as they put in the order?
