Understandable. But it's what Ford wants us to want (because cost reduction/move to autonomous/EVs whatever) and they'll have a strategy to convince us it's a good thing. They wouldn't be the first company to skew the focus group questions in favour of their preferred outcome so they can say 'in...
Yes. But big telco money wants you to be addicted to your phone. You need it...NEEEEED.
AFAIK there's no enthusiasm for autonomously disabling phone screens when driving despite evidence that it contributes to auto wrecks. Incoming calls, outgoing calls, nav etc sure but nfi why anyone would...
Agree that car enthusiasts are a minority (deviant sub-culture? :giggle:) but it's a pretty big one. And folks who buy Mustangs in general are an even bigger minority (enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts). What they all have in common is the desire for the brand experience that a Mustang brings vs a...
Precisely the reason a previous gen Ranger and Everest are in my driveway instead of new gen. Drove the new gen and just didn't like having to look away/down towards the floor for that long.
I'll wager it's because they want you to get used to it. Big square front on the new gen ranger? EV...
Interesting 'in the wild' shots. I want to like the S650 but yes IMHO it certainly does look underwhelming, whereas the M1 looks great. Ditto the interior looks average at best, the steering wheel airbag cover looks cheap and the overhang on the rh side of the dash appears awkwardly Kenworth...
Awww no love for the Stinger? Not my cup of tea but was seen by many as a good entry level performance sedan. Excellent tuning potential too.
The screen was redesigned so it was larger but more integrated than the previous 'in your eye' incantation.
Interesting observation, the big central screen is what put me off the Next Gen Ranger which IIRC is lower-set than the Ram. I appreciated the benefits from a tech perspective but the bottom of the screen just seemed too low for me to be comfortable with accessing anything down there...
Hmmm and yet...the very concept was brought to you by 'boomers'. Follow them for more design tips etc.
Although to be fair this dash is much more integrated than the one in the S650 :giggle:
100%
Seeing previous and current models of any car together in the wild for the first time is always really interesting. Then starts the period where we slowly get accustomed to seeing the new one and instead of being distracted by its newness and differences we notice the sum of its individual...
I get it. You want everyone to be open minded and get on board with the new design as you have. No discord? Eradicate dissent? Hmmm...good luck I guess.
Someone disagreeing with you isn't whining, but complaining about folks disagreeing with you about something objective probably is. Bit...
Jeez...the anger. Interesting. Chill dude, no one needs to 'get over' their personal preference. Maybe get over being hypersensitive towards anyone who expresses a different view to yours.
It's the future is it? Speaking (yelling?) with assumed authority on behalf of designers world wide? Of...
