86pagt, I bought full length BMR Rails for my S550 (2016/2017) and they were built good except poor powder coating which i got redone before installing. They were really strong and the way the mounting holes were designed, welded and sealed both ends. Unfortunately i can not install them on my...
I am ordering these ones:
Steeda 555 5205 Mustang Coupe Low-Profile Jacking Rails (15-26)
I see a couple of advantages with these ones.
Firstly the two end front and rear the way they are tapered will be good to avoid catching underneath the car. But they also add a slight gap between...
It appears Steeda rails fit better on S650s due their design of mounting holes. BMRs are not really a fit on S650, quality control is poor and after sales service is also very poor. I bought them off CJ Pony parts because I bought quite a few parts for my S550 in the past and they used to be...
So, I ended up ordering BMR CJR760 short Chassis box jacking rails. I made sure the longer one as mentioned in the videos goes to Driver Side (Passenger side in AU) and shorter one to Passenger side (Driver side AU). I managed to install (Driver Side AU) but having trouble installing the...
I tried today mine did not fit on S650, due to the length of these rails. But mine are full size and NOT the same as shown in the link.
Mine are little too long at the front. They don’t fit despite cutting the felt.
There is a high point right next to where you cut the felt for front bolts.
But...
It appears the BMR ones I have are long chassis so I can’t install them on Dark Horse as they extend further than the install holes at front and in S650 or say Dark horse the front part is a bit elevated.
So I may have look into BMR short chassis or Steeda. Not sure where I can find them in...
Good Day everyone,
I have BMR jacking rails that used on my S550 and am sure they work on S650 as well based on videos I saw and also as per BMR website.
however I noticed that Dark Horse has got felt under body and is held by screws which may get under the jacking rail making it difficult to...
That’s interesting, I thought the regulations might be even stricter in UK
communication from Ford side has been terrible which makes the situation worse.
we in AU do not have an option to pick another car because only a limited number of Dark Horse were allocated which were sold out in...
It was not like that earlier. Ford was penalised by 65 million dollars due to not dealing properly a reverse camera recallls in US.
And as a result they are now subject to being monitored by a third party organisation to make sure they handle these recalls properly.
UK standards might be...
Understand however if the issue is that serious and related to safety, any Vehicle manufacturer has to recall the vehicles back to dealerships.
and if it’s not then there is no reason to hold the vehicles. Either way Ford has no-logical reasoning to provide in this situation because they have...
Thanks, I thought so. Ford AU has been feeding us rubbish information, just to get the customers off their back. And when I told them that their is a pattern that has been detected, and they have been caught, they stopped responding to my communication.
None of what FORD is saying is a logical...
Yes its hear say, but it is coming from quite a reliable source (a Ford official, i won't mention name to maintain his privacy), which tells me Ford is feeding rubbish information to its own staff too.
So exactly who to trust?
But the question is if they have no fix why not release the vehicles...
That said, does anyone know if the update has been released in US yet. The stories we are being told by Ford AU here is that Ford US has already released the update in US on 29th of Jan 2025 and it was sent to Ford AU on 30 Jan ( 29th in US)
Ford AU is now going through some documentation check...
Its all done by laptops these days and only via OBD-II port. Its a very basic system to update software. The cars are already out with the interim update and they could have done exactly same to the cars at dealership.
But they simply don't care about customers and that is why making up all...
In response to your comment, and once again i am also not taking it the wrong way, simply responding to it.
The affected vehicles were built during a specific time frame. So, what would you do as a company disassemble the assembled GOOD vehicles to repair the old ones, already bought by...
Ford has not been transparent on this issue right from the beginning and failed the customers in so many ways:
1) no detailed information provided to the customers, just before holding their vehicles at ports, holding yards and dealerships
2) dealers were not provided with any details either
3)...
