  1. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Will be nice if they move the front axle forward though. I really dig the AMG GT side profile.
  2. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Maybe get rid of some of that massive overhang?
  3. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

So you are telling me a 3.8L V8 with two turbos is gonna be bigger than a 5.0L?
  4. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

That's why I said a smaller displacement V8 with turbo will allow the extra space for the car to grow smaller. The flat 4 in my WRX is as wide as the 90 degree v8 in the Mustang.
  5. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

If they can shrink down to the original mustang size, they can save maybe 200-300 lbs worth of metal, it will be a very fun car to drive.
  6. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

The WRX has good crashing rating and its not that much smaller than the Mustang on the inside but the Mustang is much bigger on the outside. Most of Mustang's bulk comes from that long hood and very thick bodylines. If they can shrink the length and width by 7-8 inches, you will not feel much...
  7. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Focus RS is too small. If you look at the original Mustang, it's rather compact.
  8. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

I like the size of my WRX. Perfect size for a sports car with decent storage capacity. The Mustang is just too fat and big. It's ridiculously heavy. A small turbo V8 will not be too thirsty just like any other configuration. You can make a inline 4 thirsty if you want. It's not the...
  9. Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

I really hope they decide to down size the mustang. It's gotten wayyy to big and heavy. Keep it under 3500lbs and 7/8th of the size right now, small displacement V8 with turbo. Active aero. A hybrid is okay as long as it's for performance not economy.
  10. 2021 MUSTANG (S650) - 7th Generation Mustang Confirmed

Perfect. About time I buy a new sports car.
  11. 2021 MUSTANG (S650) - 7th Generation Mustang Confirmed

Fifth gen lasted 9 years with a mid life update so sixth gen will likely follow the same road.
