The PP2 was slightly different. It had the same wheel offset/sizes but with 305/30-19 tires on all 4 corners. I debated on keeping mine (probably should have) but ended up with the M1 as I wanted the extra cooling and better trans for the track.
I am. I arranged to borrow my friends enclosed trailer then he turned around and offered to pull with his truck. Well heck I had to pay for gas either way and I didn't mind the company on the 5 hour round trip. Talk about patience. I also took it straight for PPF/ceramic coating which added...
There's other threads with the same type of info but when I ordered my Mach 1 here are some of the notices I got. Bear in mind the original build date was scheduled the week of 3/6/2023.
3/16 - Received the email about delays and they would be in touch every 45 days.
3/25 - Received email that...
1 - totally understand that. For a while people had me convinced my M1 order wasn't going to go through I tried to figure out how I would spec a DH. To keep the price the same I would have had to order a base DH with no options. Which wouldn't have been all bad since the DH has better brakes...
I know several GT350 owners from the track (and personally) who don't have any issues with their cars. I almost chose a used 350 over the Mach 1 but since I had to finance some of it I couldn't justify it without another $10K to put down on it. Banks don't do as well on older cars. No matter...
A Motortrend article on this states it's a whopping 3% more downforce than a Mach 1. Dang it. I should have waited :) https://www.motortrend.com/features/ford-mustang-dark-horse-200-mph-wind-tunnel/?slide=1
Thoughts from a "track guy".
When I ordered my M1 I thought about skipping out on the handling package. I figured I could order many of the parts I wanted from the HP separately. As I worked through the math plus the fact that I get them from the factory instead of being add-on and the fact...
Yeah, when I got my 23 M1 from Granger I did the ESP right away. I did verify that if you wait until just before the 36month/36k miles are up it seems to be about the same price. Just don't forget to buy it you plan to keep the car. Granger prices on ESP are fantastic.
There might be some confusion here. I believe the reference to sliding the pads out and not removing the caliper is only for those with Brembo brakes. If I recall there is a brake package that includes Brembo front and rear (just like GT350/500) for 2024. There are ways to push those pistons...
Just got my second Mustang (PP2 now Mach 1) with active exhaust. With the Mach 1 you can get adaptors from Borla to run their GT500 active versions. I'm considering the Borla ATAK GT500 model which includes the SwitchFire mid pipe. For now I'll probably just get the Ford X-pipe. I might have...
They have a few Mach 1's currently available according to their web site. One of those even has a supercharger installed if you're up for that.
I just picked up my 23 Mach 1 HP from Granger a little over two weeks ago. Only about 2.5 hour drive to Granger. Local dealers at the time I ordered...
Then when you look at this https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9602-M it says:
NOTE: Customers with a Performance Pack 2 equipped Mustang can upgrade by installing only the M-5300-W Spring Kit and M-5490-G Sway Bar Kit
NOTE: Mach 1 Base and Mach 1 HP have unique MagneRide suspension...
Sorry for the delayed response but I see someone finally gave you a serious and correct answer. Rear seat delete. I didn't see or missed it as an option for the DH. I presume it would be in the same price range as the M1 RSD though.
My 2019 PP2 actually held up pretty well with a decent...
For MSRP, yeah it would only be about $2000(ish) more. Since I ordered my Mach from Granger Ford I saved some money.
DH (600A) $57970
Dest $1595
Gas Guzzler $1350
Recaro $1650
DH HP $4500
Red Calipers $495
TOTAL $67560
My M1 was more like $60K dead on. Oh...
I thought ZL1 Recaro seats were powered, heated and cooled?
The GT350 comfort seats with the alcantara back and seat base are the best seats I've seen in a Mustang. The alcantara will hold you in place better than the standard cloth recaros and way better than leather. So I can see how that...
