Has anybody tried installing a handling pack front splitter on a non hp dark horse?

My fifth gear shows neutral on the instrument cluster and I when accelerating in fifth gear it feels off like it has fully engaged into the gear. Has anyone experience this before. I'am shifting from fourth to fifth around 3k rpm.
