Right on! Even though I am keeping my s550 for now, if I did consider an s650 it would have to be a black one. The only way to easily solve that glaring problem.
Agreed; however, 67, 68 did not have the black surround on the lights, it was body color. Same should be done with the s650 if no rear black panel is used like the s550.
I get it, however, I stand by statement only because the dash is that bad. Enthusiast or not, it is very visually distracting in a bad way to most, and there are enough s550s out there for comparison to allow anyone to see just that, thereby wanting something better or similar .... IMO, obviously.
The dash is indeed an abomination to an otherwise decent looking car (except for maybe the front end, which could use some work). Most people, IMO, who will end up buying an s650 (not me) will do so with an "I'll just have to live with the dash" attitude, whether they admit it or not. Not a good...
Not exactly. Even if I have never even seen or thought about any car dash ever, for me, at first sight, something would still be 'off' about that dash. It is that bad.
It will absolutely be a hot button. Everyone I have talked to about either s650 dash thinks it is either tacky, cheap looking and/or haphazardly stuck on.
Same here with my '19. Personally, I feel the sales numbers will not be what Ford expects, and when they do a poll as to why, the resounding answer will be, "that hideous (or any synonym) dash, of course!".
If I did entertain getting an s650 (unlikely because of the dash), it would have to a black one, which lessens the big, open front grill and makes the rear end, where the lights are, more cohesive.
