  1. Test Drove a '24 GT Premium Today

What did somebody not quite so young do in order to cause that type of damage? That reads like multiple inures over time. Actually that type of injury looks like my roommates knees that were damaged multiple times on the ski slope by a not very skilled skier. It happened long before we met so...
  2. Sirius and HD Radio?

Check your window sticker with the VIN number. Under Functional you should find SIRIUSXM. One of the reason they attempted to delete AM radio was so they could push the other features.
  3. Cutting Open Intake Grille

I haven't checked under the hood but my Dark horse didn't come with anything covering that area. It is a bit confusing because they warn you not to enter standing water higher than the bottom of the rim because it might get into the air intake. if that is the air intake, it's two feet off the...
  4. Side Bottom Air Deflectors/Strikers

The wheels in transport often sit on rails with sides to keep them from moving much to the side. The ground clearance is only about 4 inches with them on so it's possible for them to get damaged in transport. It's safer just to leave them off so they don't get damaged before you see the car...
  5. Under hood make a clicking sound when opening drivers door? Sounds like trying to start with dead battery?

I am not sure this is the problem but when you open the door, the car lowers the window about an inch. When you close the door, it will lift it back up. I also found if you close the door a little hard, the window will thunk. At first I thought it might be the old stories about auto workers...
  6. Window Tint Opinions

I don't like tint. It peels after a few years and can get scratched. I normally own a car long enough for these failures to appear and I am not sure it's easy to remove tint once you have it. My corrective lens adjust for sunny conditions and are clear when dark. This is important to me because...
  7. Flat Rock build schedule

I agree. About a year ago I tried to place an order for a Mach 1 however I constantly ran into closed order books. I managed to catch the order book open for the Dark Horse and placed my order 3/27 taking delivery 2.5 week ago. One shouldn't have to wait so long to buy a car. I though just in...
  8. Exhaust Valves Continuously Flapping When Door is Opened

That description sound like a position sensor might have failed and the computer has detected it. The software may try to clear it by cycling the system but after several cycles, it gives up on the process. That sounds like something that should be easy to find.
  9. Ceramic Coating or Not?

I wouldn't touch the finish until all your issues are corrected. Paint will not stick to wax so the body shop would have to undue any treatment you give it and if they don't you may be facing other problems in the future.
  10. Flat Rock build schedule

it appears they can produce more than they can sale. Looking at this link, remember that COVID and supply chain problems were a big factor in what ford actually produced. Ford Sales figures
  11. Exhaust Valves Continuously Flapping When Door is Opened

In the morning my fuel injected 96 mustang has a hum for 3-4 seconds after you first turn the key on. This is the fuel pump in the tank pressurizing the system. The fuel is pumped to the engine and there is a return line from the engine that allows any air/fuel to return to the tank. The system...
  12. Test Drove a '24 GT Premium Today

My perverted view of life is showing. I am sure you are aware that there will be a lot of physical therapy after surgery so maybe a manual transmission could replace some of your physical therapy? Nah, actually I went down that road. I was laying on my side sleeping with my arm extended in back...
  13. Someone please explain steering modes

I haven't played with the steering setting but I have driven many including ones without power steering. Without power steering it's hard to turn the wheel when you're not moving or moving slow but once you're moving at a reasonable speed you don't really need power steering. There still is...
  14. 2024 Mustang GT NP PP AE MR Final Preparation

Call your insurance agency and talk with them. All I needed was proof of current insurance to get the car out the door. My carrier wants $1,000/6 months because I carry coverage well above the state minimum however if you are older with a clean record and you don't carry as much coverage as I...
  15. Thank you & Question for Texas orders

Oh, in that case, mine did the same thing and it would probably be 2-3 weeks to delivery. Stuff shipped from the east by rail is a little slow getting to phoenix because in the early days, Phoenix was considered a rail spur. Phoenix was small and out of the way because the path was blocked by...
  16. A Dark Horse now vs waiting for custom order GT Premium

The cloth seats in my 96 are still in good shape so it's a personal preference between cloth or the premium seats. Other than that, if you aren't going to the track and you don't want the Tremec transmission, there really isn't much difference between the GT and the Dark horse. My advice is to...
  17. Thank you & Question for Texas orders

I ordered my dark horse March 27 and picked it up a couple of weeks ago. I suspect if your dealer has an allocation, that time should be shorter because the new mustang wasn't in production at the time of my order and there was about a month were production stopped due to some problem producing...
  18. My S550 to S650 Evaluation Review

I haven't driven the MT82 but I have the Tremec. It's short throw and the spring is pretty stiff in it. I have missed a few shifts because of the spring but I should be able to get used to it. On the plus side, there is not slop in it and the mistakes are my fault and not a problem with the...
  19. Test Drove a '24 GT Premium Today

Do you have another car that is an automatic that you could use till you heal? The other two options are renting a car or getting a beater that will get you through the next few months. With the loss you would take you would probably break even or better getting a used car to drive for a few...
  20. Service soon

While Ford offers road service, I am unsure exactly what the service is. I would suggest you get AAA auto service. I have only used it twice when I blew the water jacket in the intake manifold and had an ignition switch failure but they will jumper your car or install a new battery on the spot...
