I also want to ask. With the PPE pan and the dipstick draining, filling, and checking your fluid level will be a breeze unless you still gotta take it all off for the filter. How often would you change your trans filter with track use compared to the fluid?

Been considering adding a dipstick too. Can you add fluid from the tube? Also how did you do the markings for the dipstick, I know these ones just use a black dipstick with no markings, also how easy is it to read the dipstick?

I plan to do my oil changes after every track weekend. As stated by the ford service manual. I am also considering changing out my diff fluid because I did get it to a toasty 293.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll get the oil changed soon. I’ll also inspect my dust boots and see if I can get some new brake fluid put in. I’m still using the fluid that the factory put in.

I had a feeling, it did sound like the factory rev limiter whenever you’re in park or neutral. Do you know what parameters it uses to determine the cutoff? I was able to run the car even hotter. Car was reading max at around 294F oil temp (in reality the oil temp through my actual gauge was 282).

What harness and pins did you use?

Were you able to figure this out? I’ve been looking at the diff coolers from the gt350s and gt500s and they’re pretty well priced used, would be nice to have that easy install and only have to worry about plugging in some connectors to get the whole thing working

I ordered the sensor and the harness but I just have one question about the diff cover. I saw in 6g the diff cover and it doesn’t seem the sensor actually goes into the diff fluid. When you put your sensor in was there a port to remove that would leak diff oil or not?

I haven’t activated the gauge yet but I already know where to activate it, I just wanna double check what the part number is because I’ve been seeing multiple part numbers shared on this thread.

I have a non-PP car as well, can you give me the part number for the wiring harness that you got? And where the wiring harness replaces the old one? Are there different variants of this harness or is it just a standalone harness for the temp sensor?

Off the top of my head I’d say around 1000 bucks. Used all oem hardware and parts. Install was a pain but the cooler works very well and I haven’t had an issue. I did make a post about the install if you want more details about the install process and what parts I used, should be helpful.

Honestly I can’t find any good info on where you should really back off trans temp wise, I know the trans fluid is made to be ran hot but still. I installed the trans cooler anyways, so I don’t really worry about my transmission temps too much.

Honestly 240 oil temp is not even bad, usually for these engines you should start backing off once you reach 280 F (yellow zone on the track gauges). 225 for transmission is about right, operating range is about 206-215 I personally wouldn’t go above 220. Can’t say much for your CHTs, aluminum...
