Sorry I'm late with the update. Issue was fixed with replacement of the rear axle (rear diff assembly). It did get noticeably worse with the new driveshaft and diff rebuild so not sure if there was something between how it was rebuilt or the new driveshaft and old diff. But regardless it's fixed!
Mines an auto and rpm doesn't seem to affect it. Most others that I have seen, like yourself, that have had this issue have either traded or filed lemon law.
Yeah the only reason I have it is because it comes on the car. Once I get all the kinks worked
That I am not sure of, just says test drove. And they won't drive it this fast, but if you get up past 80 the whole car hums or buzzes. When I take it back they are supposed to drive it on the lift to...
It should eliminate anything related to engine, trans, or exhaust noise. But I'll see what Ford says. This my be my reason to go ahead and get an H pipe, wanted one anyway 😆
I apologize for not being specific, it is put in neutral while driving not just sitting still. So it is still at highway speed when in neutral and the vibration doesn't change. Also the x pipe has been on the car since I bought it and haven't had any issues until a few thousand miles ago 🤷
That's on my radar but the dealership wants $1300. As a technician (not Ford) I can just do it myself when I get some free time. And they just rebuilt the rear diff and didn't mention anything about half shaft issues. I'll ask them about it though, thanks!
Were you able to find out what parts were replaced? Have this exact same issue on a 24 dark horse and they can't figure it out. Trying to see if it's in the rear diff or the axle shafts causing the vibration.
It came with the x pipe, and putting the car in neutral doesn't change the vibration which should rule that out. The car has a clean car fax and has had two alignments since I have owned it. None of which showed any issues in that regard.
Hello all, purchased my 2024 mustang dark horse a few months ago and recently within the past 2-3k miles it has had a pretty noticable high frequency vibration starting at 60-65mph and getting worse as speed increases. Feel it more in the chassis of the car( floor, doors, console, roof) not much...
