  1. 2027 Mustang info?

Ford wants to get the sedan out relatively soon. But an s650 sedan would look dated with s650 styling. Plus if they stuck to their original plan of releasing the next gen coupe in 2030, it would have meant the sedan comes out, and then a year later is immediately dated by a modern modern coupe...

Someone needs to have a gm employee count how many doors are on a Corvette. Their most iconic model is a 2 door.
  5. 2027 Mustang info?

The next gen coupe is coming in 2028 or 2029, moved up from 2030. So I highly doubt they'd invest in a refresh just to release a new Gen a year or two later.
  6. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

Going off sales numbers, the mustang is a significantly better coupe and sports car than anything on sale. Keep in mind, the mustang has like a 58% market share of the entire sports car market in the US. The c8, z, gr86, Miata, they're all fighting over that 42%. So going off volume, the...
  7. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

But they're trying to turn the mustang badge into a porshe badge in the sense that mustang becomes its own brand.
  8. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

Def a solid product, but pretty piss poor styling as far as mid-engine supercars go. I'm really digging the c9 renderings we're seeing. If it looks like this, it'll be a winner.
  9. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

Because they're the gold standard of the enthusiast industry and have proven to be somewhat effective at appealing to younger and more affluent buyers which is the holy grail. Young and rich are the demographic you want as a brand when it comes to make aspirational products. So learning from...

  12. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

He says because the s650 styling was a pretty mild change over s550, Ford .management felt that if an s650 styled sedan came out, the styling and design would look dated instantly. Moving up the next gen coupe timeline means they can stick to a 2029 release for the sedan, but give it fresher...
  13. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

As far as timeline goes, my source said next gen mustang coupe was moved up to 2028. The sedan is coming in 2029.
  14. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

Apparently it was a hybrid 5.0. So if of the next gen mustang coupe and sedan are hybrid versions of the current powertrains, my guess is 400-450 hp from a 2.3 hybrid, and 550-600 hp from a 5.0 hybrid.
  15. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

A hybrid 2.3 is def doable for sub 40. Keep in mind the miracle maverick exists. Ford made a great hybrid starting in the low 20s. A hybrid with a shared platform in the high 30s seems acheivable.
  16. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

IDK if they can tell you but ask if it was a stretched s650 or something new.
  17. Ford Shows 4-door Mustang Hybrid to Dealers; Price <$40k, <4 sec 0-60, size/design likened to Panamera

It's not coming until s750 which is why it's taking awhile. I wonder if dealers were just shown a stretched s650 or if it was something with different styling for the future.
  18. Is Ford Cancelling or Refreshing the 2027 Mustang?!

Which isn't bad, it's grown on me a lot, particularly the painted version. It looks muscular and clean. I also really love the dramatic lines running along the headlights and corner vents that jutt out, and then angle back in, looks super aggressive.
  19. Is Ford Cancelling or Refreshing the 2027 Mustang?!

Exactly, a lot of the earlier rumors were saying we'd get mach 4 in 2027/2028. That meant we should have been seeing mules right around now, and it just wasn't happening.
  20. Is Ford Cancelling or Refreshing the 2027 Mustang?!

IDK if s650 will get a refresh, we might just roll over into s750. Talking to people in the know, the s650 lifestyle was shortened from its original planned run. By how much, IDK. But apparently they were gonna do an s650 sedan, but decided by the time it arrived, the styling would look old...
