Does anyone else think Ford took design inspiration for those wheels from the Fisker Mustang? I think that's another reason why this combo looks so good. Everything just flows effortlessly.
This is one of my favorite s650 color and wheel combos. I'm not usually a huge fan of 5 spoke rims, but they work so well here. Masterfully done good sir. This car will age like fine wine. Eye catching, but classy at the same time feels like the way to go.
Others chime in on this, but I've heard some people recommend pulling the battery out of the car and leaving that on the side on a battery tender if the car is gonna be sitting for months at a time. Others comment on that and confirm or deny if that's a good approach please.
Yes, because I want to connect with people who have that shared love and passion for cars. I don't care that much what they're driving. Not only is it fun to see some variety, it also makes cars like V8 mustangs feel more special. If 80% of the cars you see at meets are V8 muscle cars, they feel...
I couldn't agree more, It's sad to see. My stance on the matter is, I love most cars, variety in the car community is the best thing about it. Regarding cars I don't love, I can still respect the passion that owner has for their car. A Kia soul with underglow and scissor doors isn't my jam, but...
I doubt we'll see a 5.4 based model as much as I want to see it. But performance variants between the Dark Horse and GTD are definitely on the way. Something with the GTD motor, and some of the design cues at 100-120k would be awesome. With a hybrid mustang seemingly likely, Ford could also take...
Nah, you're not annoying man. You love cars, and sports cars at that. You're one of us. The Ecoboost is a real monster in its own way, enjoy it for as long as you want. I look forward to seeing pictures of you gt once you get it. I'm probably about two years from getting a 5.0 myself, maybe we...
I will say we as enthusiasts are at least partially to blame for the drastically rising cost of new sports cars.
If it's stupid to compare a modern car to a classic one, then don't try to compare them in the first place. Don't bitch about how mustangs have gotten more expensive, yet ignore the...
I mean, that sound in particular is very clearly not normal. I've never heard another coyote making that sort of "Chirping clatter" while warming up. If it was just the ticking then it would be fine, but that additional sound, it sounds off.
Ford's CEO has very openly and candidly talked about the exact reasons why Ford's current EVs have lost money, and how all of that has been radically changed for upcoming EVs. Basically it's hiring all the people who know how to make profitable EVs and using better and more cost effective...
I like to joke that when enthusiasts like that complain about sound, it's because they've already lost the argument. They have nothing else to bitch about, which only goes to show how good Ecoboost mustangs are. You and I see how ridiculous it is.
I'd actually buy an Ecoboost mustang if it...
To put it into perspective, the average car from the 60s lasted less than 7 years from assembly line to junkyard. I believe the term is survivorship bias, but I could be wrong. People see the 1950s and 60s cars at car shows, and think they must be reliable because they're still around, ignoring...
Freaking love it. Almost any color on a mustang that isn't black, white, or silver is a win in my book. We need to bring back the more vibrant and expressive colors. Glad to see Ford doing just that. Now if we could get a nice purple...
My point is ICE cars are gonna become more and more expensive because it's gonna get harder and harder to engineer them to the standards we expect as consumers. This is especially true for ICE performance cars. This was in turn a response to another post talking about bringing affordablilty back...
But it's worth remembering the most badass production mustang from the 1960s would get smoked by a base mustang Ecoboost. The new Ecoboost is throwing down a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, I believe the 60s gt 500 did it in around 6 seconds or a little more. Then you get to the corner, and the...
Here's what I'd love to see, normal mustang coupe, most people don't use the back seat anyways, let's be honest, unless you have toddlers, or groceries, it's useless. I predict most mustang lovers who want a usable backseat will go to a mustang sedan if it looks good and offers things like a V8...
The next gen mustang seems like it's gonna keep the V8 and Ecoboost powertrains around, but will likely have to use hybrids. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, hybrids can be incredible performance cars, remember the McLaren p1 and la Ferrari are hybrids. So it can make driving even more fun...
The best solution would be to find a way to get some sort of scale back on your side. Based off what I've heard, the mustang needs a new platform to do the things Ford's CEO wants to do, like shed a lot of weight, and make a sedan on it. I find that likely considering Farley has said they're...
Realistically, it's not what enthusiasts want to hear, but unless the mustang becomes an EV, this is just our reality. Gas cars are gonna become far more expensive than EVs long term, it's already starting to happen with things like the mach-e now dropping down into the 30s, and even more...
Yes. Dealers reported seeing a higher performance mustang in a dealer meeting alongside a mustang sedan and off-road mustang. They said it probably won't have Shelby branding, but it's basically the same thing as a gt 500 just by a different name based on how it was described.
