You didn't ask me, but a Mach 1 is more of a luxury package, and the Boss was strictly road race. The 69, 7, 71 Mach had nicer interior, more stickers, etc, but you could get anything you wanted on a non Mach 1 car. Like Shakers, Cobra Jet engines , Ram Air, whatever.
The Boss - more...
I don't want an AWD mustang. That certainly makes it more of a "sports car" than a muscle/pony car or whatever it is.
I would be interested in a V8 with an electric motor between the engine and transmission.
And if it had a plug in capability for 25 miles or so that would be cool. Like my...
That profile pic is of a scoop or vent or something, got a black running Mustang on it. You can see a good bit of detail if you blow it up and lighten it.
I can't tell what part it is.
Very exite.
I just skipped to the end here, but..
Ill be happy when I never see ole Carroll's name on a Mustang again.
Bring back the Cobra and take the licensing fee off the price.
Nice find, thank you.
In a way, I'm glad they've not used this to preview S650. I'd much rather see the real thing............talking of which where ARE those prototypes?!?
I think that new BMW M3/M4 look is f'kin RAD. Love it. This is hwo big Ford needs to go here. This incremental BS on top of a "vintage inspired" design is played out. Dodge is retro, Chevy retro, Ford Retro. Who's gonna go big here and take the spotlight?
I always remember something that...
I had a red 71 Mach in High school. It was a 351C 4V with a C6. Had a red interior.
We put an intake, hooker long tubes, flows, dumps, a huge solid lifter cam, a 750 Double pumper and 4:11 gears. Like you said, that shit pulled hard up top. I eventually had a 950 Pro series holly on it and...
This. All electric cars don't interest me. I like cars specifically because of V8 engines.
No V8? I'm not interested.
If I have to drive one in 2050 to get around, so be it. It won't give me the feels.
I know the Coyote is about $9.5, and Godzilla can be had for $7.5K.
-half the valves/guides
-half the valve springs
-half the rockers
-one quarter the number of cams
-one timing chain instead of four
-one cam phase instead of four
-half the aluminum in the head
-all the less time labor to put...
Right? I know nobody think this engine will end up in the Mustang, but...
Riddle me this:
Why would Ford offer the 6.8L and the 5.0L in the F150. The 7.3 is only for Super Dutys.
-What is the take rate on the 5.0 in teh F-150?
-How much more does a 5.0 cost to manufacture than a 6.8 w/ iron...
Yeah, maybe they mean every one will be "electrified" instead of all electric.
I'd be cool with a smaller V8/Hybrid with the motor at the engine/trans area or at the wheels.
We've all seen the drawings of the V8 with the front motors...like you said man.
I could stomach a hybrid V8, but...
Horse pucky.
And a Tesla is not an automobile...anymore than a golf kart.
And an electric only mustang won't be either.
I'm fixin' to buy a '7 1 Mach w/ 3514V. That'll show em.
Most people know this, I certainly do. It doesn't mean much.
Rumors about when the S650 would drop were all over the place in the last 2-3 years.
Plans seems to change fast at Ford. Hell, they have three CEOs in every Mustang lifecycle.
At least Hackett is gone.
This must be a mistake. It makes no sense.
If the current start date info is correct, S650 will run MY'23, '24, '25, '26, '27,'28, which is only 6 model years.
How in the world can they know the start date of the gen after the gen that hasn't even started yet?
Thanks for being "that guy" you dunce.
If you take the rear seats out of a 4 seat car it's still a 4 seat car with the seats taken out.
A corvette is a two seat car. Understand?
Especially silly comment since we were discussing altering the wheelbase to create an actual 2 seat car. Which will...
