Unfortunately, from what I have experienced, this is very true. When I told Ford about it, they were like well yeah there was no fix for it so it was ok to them somehow. Very questionable for a car that’s supposed to be CPO, inspected, and ended up actually having issues. What’s even weirder is...
Hey there, thank you for your input. I appreciate your thoughts but i think I have the most I can get at this point as I am already getting a buyback. As much as I would love to lay in to the dealer, I don’t know if it would make a difference at this point or if it’s worth the energy. If you or...
Hello everyone! Wanted to provide an update regarding my situation. Ford just called me to inform me they are approving a buyback and will be giving me an offer around next Monday. I'm hoping everything goes well with the offer and I am already looking at replacement GTs ;). If anyone has done...
Whats strange about this is that from what I read, a Gold Certified vehicle can't be certified as such if it has open recalls on it. Makes everything seem a lot more suspicious on the dealer end. Definitely going to be giving the manager a call tomorrow.
I also want to thank you all for your input! I have only owned my Mustang for a month but I'm glad that the community is amazing and very welcoming! Hoping to rejoin the road with y'all soon!
So, once again this just seems like one gigantic mess to me. Is there any action that can be done with the original dealer or am I at the mercy of Ford at this point?
I was able to get some information regarding my inspection. According to the inspection, this states the recalls were fixed prior to the sale correct? Or does nothing change here?
Ah okay, is it still worth a try? Once again, its hard to prove actual anything beyond negligence, but I should at least try to go down every avenue I can right?
Unfortunately, I didn't get around to moving forward with the recall until the 20th of October, I only had the car since the 1st. Its also true that I acknowledged the open recall, but I didn't do or sign anything to waive my rights to do anything about it. What would the best way to demand the...
Yeah, apologies for the blurry photos, my service rep should not be hired for weddings. The pictures with the connection points themselves (the white parts) are signs of corrosion and are present on both female and male connectors. That dusty looking area is where the water was leaking and of...
To my knowledge, its not a matter of other cars in line in front of me. The dealer supposedly knows how to fix it, but Ford is straight up not providing any instructions or approval for them to fix it.
I had no idea or didn't see any signs that there was any water intrusion or issues besides maybe my roof interior lights being finicky a day or two before I took it in but that's honestly a stretch at best.
I really hope this is possible! I either want a fix as soon as possible or my money back for a replacement. I will give it a try. Is there anything you did in particular that helped you get it done quicker?
It looks like I may have to do so if it is possible and not fixed soon. It has been 18 days, they have a week to fix it until I can start filing a claim.
From what I have seen, It looks my car is patient zero here. According to the official recall paperwork, Ford estimated that 1% of the 105,000+ mustangs affected would have water intrusion damage so I guess I'm one lucky dog!
Good catch. I didn't really notice this until you brought it up, its definitely questionable but at the same time it was "inspected" for the CPO and had a clean title/carfax and no further signs of water damage. However, I may have to do some more digging here. Thank you for mentioning this.
I'm hoping something can be done with the vehicle as its not new (CPO) but with it still being under original warranty and inside 24 months of the original delivery date in Florida there could be something that could help me besides just a Ford buyback...
