I'm still considering my options. A little perturbed by nearly a dozen recalls in recent years (Mustang ). Thanks for the suggestion if I pull the proverbial trigger.
I couldn't agree more! Like our iPhone or Android cell, our cars have now entered the world of "planned obsolescence". it's only a matter of time before the tech within newer models will fail to be supported leaving customers with expensive repairs or no repair option at all.
Will there be a...
Thank you. My search has extended beyond local dealers, so I'll ask for pictures. I won't buy a hack job at these prices.
Looking at the total number of recalls in 2024 and 2025, it has me thinking hard about Ford.
I went to the NHTSA site and did a VIN search -- it shows no unrepaired recalls (new 2025's). Is there a site that actually displays what repairs may have been done as part of a recall?
I'm a little nervous about recall activity -- Im researching new cars on dealer lots.
Timely thread. I still haven't button-downed what I want out of a 25 or 26 GT; I've been looking at RTR and what a Spec 2 gets me for a premium dollar. I'm OK with 500- HP, so a Spec 3 isn't in the running. Just reviewing all my options before spending a dime.
I have to say, your red beauty looks great in the show room. Maybe my expectations were set to high.
Perhaps my beef has more to do with the dealer. The cars were coated with dirt and though I'm aware that surface rust is to be expected (brakes), not like what I saw. If I saw your red GT on...
Unfortunately, stock is limited. I spent time at a dealer this morning without sales pressure. They had 4 25's on the lot, and I have to say, I wasn't impressed with the fit and finish. I expected more at the GT Premium price point.
It was clear that each car has been parked outside for...
Glad I read this thread. I'm considering a switch to the Mustang (from all things Chevy); I need to think through the comments and further research 25 vs 26. The changes and cost increases.
Thanks for creating this thread.
When considering options, would I be better served NOT electing Active Exhaust and go with an aftermarket solution that still allows for dialing in sound levels? A deeper sound without the "pop pop pop" sound I seem to hear a lot these days. I'll miss my old-school V8 with a big cam and the...
