Looks like the installer used an old regular window squeegee for that and the metal part of it is what gouged your dash. They should have used small plastic spatulas. That is some bush league nonsense for sure.
Is there anybody who is nostalgic enough for the time period this is inspired by to actually spend money on it? This is something you would see in the background of those cringeworthy pictures of really bad hair from the 70's and 80's.
Ford is reeling in the suckers with these prices. These are priced for the rich collectors that will buy everything Ford makes and the nostalgia dupes who think they'll be getting a future '66 Shelby.
There is no way this car makes anywhere near the impression the S550 GT-350 and GT-500 made.
I put mine up at the end of October. Then we preceded to have the driest and warmest winter on record. I don't think the salt trucks have been out once. It's too late to back down now though... I know for a fact that if I take it for a drive, we'll get blasted with 2 feet of snow the next day.
I'm a cruiser and a road tripper, not a racer, so the cabin experience is important to me. I bought a slab of MLV and cut it to fit in the trunk, put the carpet on that and an all-weather rubber mat on top. I also put all-weather mats up front, together it makes the cabin a lot quieter. If...
I remember watching a car review where they claimed they got 30 mpg on one of their test loops. I thought that was completely bogus until I picked mine up. People will call this car a gas guzzler and it gets better mpg than most hybrid SUV's.
That's really interesting. If what I'm hearing is what you are referring to (8 second mark) my F-150 makes that exact same sound when I let off the accelerator at low speeds on a cold engine. It's a soft wooshing/backwash sound? I always assumed it was something to do with the turbos on my...
I can't say I've had any issues with the A10 in mine, other than the occasional super aggressive downshift when in sport mode. My first experience with the A10 was in my F-150 and man that thing made all kinds of disheartening noises. It finally mellowed out around 30,000 miles, so I don't...
If you're retired, you should have time to make some phone calls. Get your build sorted out on Ford's Build & Price and start calling dealers for a price. If they won't give you a price on the phone, move on to the next.
I don't understand where the 17k figure is coming from. Is the OP underwater for 17k on the BMW? Or is the 17k coming from the depreciation of the BMW?
If it's depreciation, that's just the cost of owning a car. Recent history has really scrambled peoples' brains when it comes to...
