Not just the volume. I think the DSP programming changes. It is like calibrating your home theater, removing a couple of walls and calibrating again. Two different DSP calibration settings. Does that make sense? I had an Audi converible with B&O and it did the same thing.

I agree. I also think the audio is different with the top up or down.
