I would say that you’re a happy man! I’m in my early seventies and I’m happy when I’m in my GT convertible! Looking forward to warmer weather because I have the performance pack with summer tires!!
24 GT convertible with summer tires. If the temperature is over 40 degrees and the roads are dry it gets exercised. If it’s colder rainy or snowing then my 05 F-150 4x4 is my transportation choice. My wife has a 23 Edge ST for her daily driver.
In 57 years of driving hot rods farm equipment trucks and motorcycles I’ve had plenty of experience shifting gears! I don’t feel I’ve anything to prove now and I’m very happy with the 10 speed automatic in my GT!!

Rolling into the throttle instead of mashing it is sound advice especially if you’re not pointed straight when you gas it! RWD cars kick sideways and FWD cars with some power can torque steer! When the brain and the right foot have a disconnect bad things happen!
My GT is a smooth highway cruiser. And if I’m not using cruise control and paying attention to the speedometer it’s too easy to be running 90mph unintentionally!
