  1. 1st to 2nd shifting notchiness

The 1-2 shift in every manual transmission I've owned has always been like that. I'd say that is normal.
  2. How are you guy winterizing your cars?

I have a heated garage that stays around 50 degrees so I don't fill tank but do put some Stabil in it. Battery tender connected and tires to 50lbs. Every other month on a nice day I move it around in the driveway only because of salt on the roads and run it at 2000 rpm or more for about 30...
  3. Photoshoot of my Race Red S650 in Sierra Mountains

Nice work. Thanks for sharing. Can never have too many pictures to view.
  4. Two Mustang Muscle Cars built 55 years apart.

I like the period correct Minilites and can't miss the sound of the solid lifters. You are lucky to half both of those beauties.
  5. 87 Octane

Can't include a link but I recall reading a performance comparison on a Coyote using 87vs91 octane and there was very little difference.
  6. Brake Fluid Flush

Krisk, Thank you for all the information you've provided. I couldn't imagine that the system would not pass fluid using the Motive without putting into brake service mode but didn't want to try until someone confirmed it.
  7. Protective film covering (PPF) pros / cons?

On a dark color car PPF may save the paint but it still looks like a chip so you either live with it looking like that or you put some paint in it like you would if the PPF wasn't there or you pay to have the PPF replaced or patched.
  8. Brake Fluid Flush

Ryunker, Have you successfully done a flush as you described without any issues?
  9. Brake Fluid Flush

I'm assuming those who track their cars probably flush the fluid more often than suggested in the service manual do to use and pad changes. On my other cars I use a Motive pressure bleeder to flush fluid through the calipers not concerned about the ABS module. With my other cars with ABS...
  10. Mustang storage - Wheel ramps

I just put in 50# and move the car a little every month.
  11. You May Want To Check Your Heat Extractor Nuts

I found one loose and one missing. Checked on line OEM Ford parts and they want $20 for those. Anyone found an alternative source?
  12. Snow tires on performance pack

Just did a wheel/tire package with Tire Rack for about $2100 all in. Best to go square for winter. Voxx Road Wheels Modena wheels with Blizzak size 255/14-19.
  13. Brake pedal making a loud popping noise when all power is off

My Bronco Sport does the same thing sometimes. I thought about turning off the hill assist to see if it is related to that but haven't tried it yet. It doesn't seen to matter if the e-brake was used or not.
  14. S650 Vs S550 Clutch Feel

I've driven both many times. S650 has a smoother actuation in my opinion.
  15. Low Coolant = cause for concern?

It is a liquid so you can expect a change in the level due to the lower outside temps. If you suspect a leak have the system pressure checked when engine and coolant is stone cold.
  16. My experience forcing a cheap S550 spoiler onto an S650 mustang

    Nice wheels. What are they?
  17. Leather Seats

I was told by dealer that the only part of the seats that are actually leather are the perforated center sections front seats only. The scuffing then is on the vinyl so treat accordingly. If the color is worn through or permanently damaged it will need to be colored again.
  18. Recall 24S36 - Leaking Hydraulic Clutch Pressure Line

Thought there was only the firewall stud clip in question? Thought there was only the firewall stud connection in question?
  19. Wisconsin Tires

    SOLD
  20. Recall 24S36 - Leaking Hydraulic Clutch Pressure Line

If I were you I would push it on the stud now. Just check to see that the line hasn't made contact with the exhaust manifold which would require replacement of the line.
