I occasionally start mine still on the charger... never any issues. I have done this on several cars, with several different chargers, though I suppose it is recommended to disconnect it from the power source. Most chargers are "smart" enough to shut off when the voltage is high (car running).
Most, (if not all) of my updates happened while driving the car, then parking for a short time, nothing that I can tell for updates during storage. Some updates require the car to power up to finish... I certainly wouldn't count on it being up to date when you take it out of storage in the...
That 6 days is not all on the assembly line... part of that time is to acquire parts, assemble the sub-assemblies, paint the body, etc... I believe it is only a day or two on the actual assembly line.
Did the tire overall diameter change significantly? As others have said, that is what matters.

The RTR splitter sits lower than the stock one, and uses those screws, so it may not work...
Just use the factory location... you already have the holes...
