I occasionally start mine still on the charger... never any issues. I have done this on several cars, with several different chargers, though I suppose it is recommended to disconnect it from the power source. Most chargers are "smart" enough to shut off when the voltage is high (car running).

That 6 days is not all on the assembly line... part of that time is to acquire parts, assemble the sub-assemblies, paint the body, etc... I believe it is only a day or two on the actual assembly line.

The RTR splitter sits lower than the stock one, and uses those screws, so it may not work... Just use the factory location... you already have the holes...
