Got a feeling the next Cobra will be a hybrid. There was much discussion of this with the 2020 car.
the hybrid design will provide the best of both worlds: the instant torque delivery (and possible easy mode AWD without all the extra hardware) in addition to the superior sustained performance...
it would - if they cared to build a great vehicle.
Collateral Branding is kind of the care corporate minimum. It won’t save a bad product. But it can hurt a good one. Sadly Jag is 0 for 2 right now.
Um… feeling it today. Lol
but that’s what I said. It’s about the vehicles.
and yet they made it about some statement that’s going to hurt it no matter what. And it already has.
Sad sad day.
and let’s be honest. Sound is a really big deal.
The v8, along with all the rest of its benefits, sounds awesome like a burbling fire breathing dragon, devouring the road.
Meanwhile, the 4 banger just sounds like… farts, stinking up the place.
that’s just keeping it real.
Sure, turbos help...
There will always be the apologists and misdirectors. The branding definitely plays a massive part. Most of the planet wants absolutely nothing to do with that kind of thing. The “backlash” is all over social media. Like everywhere.
sure, Tata was tanking previously. That’s why they went with...
Doesn’t sound like belt chirp to me. I’ve had my share of that.
sounds different then a valve guide tick also. Have they run a compression test?
almost sound like the idle is a bit rough and something is rubbing. Or an injector issue.
as Robvas said, it does sound like an idler pulley - or...
As predicted, Jag stock is doing the bud light thing. LOL
Hopefully they wake up quick.
the jag boss is pretending it’s due to intolerance rather than jaguar forgetting how to brand a once glorious vehicle company.
Sadly, it seems jaguar is committed to becoming a joke.
It seems farily obvious that these are DH specific parts as they are shaped exactly to the dimensions of the DH unique factory plastic pieces, which have nohwere to go on the GT fascia.
Unless you refer to the spoiler... then they should be interchangeable from what I have read.
That's what I have been saying forever. Economy of scale. Ford will need to hybridize in order to keep the performance that some of its models need to compete and win. The Mustang being the #1 reason. Get the F150 lineup setup and you've already won the battle. A more powerful Mustang version...
disagree with the first paragraph. Respectfully, no enthusiast wants an ev. But they are ant an ICE vehicle to beat one.
the second mirrors many of my posts on this forum.
Ford will likely need to do a mild hybrid. Off the line performsmce is where EVs shine. But not necessarily 1320 etc...
LOL. You know nothing about economies of scale.
If any of what you said is true, there’d be no end to inflation. Ever. And everything would be unobtainium. Thankfully, nothing you said in bold is true. If they were losing money - selling less than cost - then they could be in trouble. But even...
Ford needs to get pricing under control. Mustangs are supposed to do more for less. Bang for the buck.
a GT500/Cobra should realistically cost 10k more than current dark horse prices.
you can literally buy a GT and supercharger combo from a dealer with warranty. That’s a po boy gt500 already...
I agree about garages. However, my vehicles was chewed through in the outdoor parking lot while I was at work. Had no idea until I started to drive away and saw a dark liquid streak on the ground in the rearview mirror.
but that’s the thing. The s197 faded and ford saw the need to update. And the 650 is even less retro than the 550. It had a good run. The retro era was great but it’s time to move forward.
