Mine wasn’t a failure. They said the gasket was incorrectly placed during assembly. I think most of these leaks are assembly error at the plant.

I haven’t had any issues since the dealership replaced the seal on mine.

I have the 19” PP wheels. My right rear tire was cut by a pothole the first week I had the car. Rim got scuffed too. Dealer resurfaced it & replaced tire for free.

Not sure about the total quantity lost , but I checked the oil level hot right before I took it to the dealer and it was about 3/4 up between the fill and full and I never lost oil pressure. I’ll have to see if they cleaned it all up tomorrow when I pick it up. They said they were going to hand...

Anyone know if the 2024 GT uses all 14 bolts on each valve cover? I’d look at mine, but won’t have it back until next week.

Yup. That sounds right. Do you know if this is caused by assembly error? It sounds like this was happening a lot in past model years because Ford wasn’t using enough valve cover fasteners. I would think they would have fixed the issues with the s650.

UPDATE: I just got a voicemail from the dealer that has my car. They said they figured it out, but I’m not sure exactly which part they are replacing. The service manager just lifted it to take a look and found oil pooling under the car, in the underbody shields I think. They said they won’t be able to actually take anything apart until next week to confirm what’s leaking. Then it may be a long wait for parts…

It sounded like it might be a leaky valve cover. Seems to be coming from that area.

I decided to take it to another dealer nearby. They said it’s leaking oil, so Ford’s giving me a rental to get home. 😞 Not sure how my dealer hasn’t noticed the leak before if it’s been there a while. I guess it took a long drive to see enough smoke to notice the problem.

Not until I get back home late this afternoon, but that’s my plan as soon as I get back. I noticed some burning smells right when I got the car, but I assumed it was just labels on the headers or something.

All temps were normal. ~190* cylinder head and coolant temps. Fluid levels normal. No driving issues. Stopped smoking 5-10 minutes after shutdown. Ford is about 3hrs away.

After a long drive with around ~1400 miles on my GT Premium PP I smelled something like burning rubber. Not real strong, but definitely noticeable. I popped the hood and saw this smoke coming up from the left side of the engine. Anyone know what this is?

I got the round billetworkz knob and it works fine as long as you get their reverse lockout too. It was easy to install.

All of my manual cars since around 2015 have had this feature. Even my base Honda accord resumes cruise control set speed after using clutch to shift.

My wife’s grand Wagoneer has a McIntosh audio system. We drive it when we want to listen to music and it’s nice, but I have no problems with the 9 speaker system in my GT. It seems like the engine in the GT would drown out a great audio system anyway.
