As far as the stock tires on non hp DH, they were just ok, I was surprised Ford went this direction after putting PS4S tires on the Mach. I’m an extreme contact continental tire guy on all my cars for last 10 years. DWS 06’s for winter and Sport 02’s for summer .
I think they are better than Michelin for on the street. sold my heavy stock Wheels and Perrelli tires at 5k miles for $1400 on marketplace.
I'm in the process of doing this on my 60th Anniversary GT. 42 lbs per wheel on the 60th Anniversary Edition 5 spokes with Goodyear Eagle A/S tires. They are pretty wheels but that's an obscene weight. Going to a staggered summer setup 10/11 with the Sport 02s. Saving 15-17 lbs per wheel! The originals wheels/tires will be my winter setup.

That’s a huge weight saving!I thought 12lbs a corner with my summer setup was big.
Car handles so much better with lighter, wider wheels and better rubber.

Reaching out on here to see if there are any former Mach 1 owners on here who now own a Dark Horse. If yes, what do you like better with the DH, what did you like better about the Mach (if anything), and how much different are the driving characteristics? Also, is the additional HP that much more noticeable with the DH?

Thanks!
The Dark Horse feels more refined and feels smoother to drive. I had them both in the tremec 6 speed. I like the cluster on the Mach 1 better for sport and track modes.

See Id take the fake light intakes over the weird raccoon eye thing all day long. Different strokes for different folks.

i used to have a 2022 M1 HP. i like the DH much better. it actually feels like a current generation vehicle instead of something Ford's been limping along for 7 years. granted, the chassis is still more or less the same, but still. the 10R80 was in both the M1 and DH, and the DH tuning is much better. the only thing i think the M1 did better is the dash. i miss having the 3 customizable gauges and the instant speed update. sure, the S650 can see 5 things now, but they're raw numbers instead of a gauge, and the speedometer lags waaay too much for my liking
