So...the CARB cert showed up recently for the DH SC. I've been watching both the EPA and CARB sites and the only 5.2 liter engines certified were the Raptor R and the GTD. They were done in the fall of 2025. About a week ago I noticed a new "Test Group" was listed. In the following image, the DH SC falls under the VEZ suffix. Raptor R is AHS and the GTD, well, GTD. Note the dates. I do find it somewhat odd that the SC was not approved near the same time as the other two but can't nail down a specific reason as to why it was so late. I do see that the VEZ Test Group number was the last listing on a lengthy, multi engine/vehicle application for $48,447 (just for the DH SC) on February 6th, 2025. The Raptor R and GTD were also listed on that same application to CARB.

Anyway, at the end of the three page CARB approval you see the following...

What I find even more interesting is that the CARB approval is up but any EPA approval is not. No matter what trickery you use at the EPA site to try to get an application or approval to populate for the DH SC - zilch. You are greeted with the following...

From the data I've looked at over time, EPA approvals came first and were followed by CARB approvals.

/tinfoilhaton...Ford is playing games. The CARB application is rather sparse and doesn't show weight, etc. The EPA application has everything. I'm guessing I pissed somebody off when I found the GTD weight this way and Ford had to admit (finally) just how hefty it really was. Has Ford asked the EPA to slow walk listing the DH SC Certificate of Conformity in an effort to stave off complaints due to what they may perceive as "negative press?" I'm starting to believe that they did. They have already come out with a horsepower number and I don't think they would do that if the car had failed to get certified as they may have had to revise calibrations, etc, possibly resulting in a different number. We shall see, as once the approval is listed it'll be signed and dated by Byron J. Bunker of the EPA Compliance Division.
