I noticed the other day that there are dedicated LED's in the upper outside corners of the intake snorkels on the front grill. Was just wondering if they serve a purpose or are just more accent lighting. They are pretty bright and only on when the headlights are on, not with day-time running lights.

Mine has it on both sides. I will leave them in as I am not worried about moisture, I live in Palm Desert.

This: Here in Palm Desert it's the same. Top/windows up when I'm not driving and when it's over 100 degrees outside which is pretty much all summer. But man is it nice to drive down El Paseo at Christmas time with the top down!

The factory covers the glass with a film that keeps it from shattering. When was the last time you scratched tempered glass with a finger or a microfiber cloth?

Like Vapor Blue GT said, it must be a layer of something other than glass. Glass does not scratch like that. And there is a layer there, that is obvious.

I think you are right about the factory protector. Two reasons: 1) I can see and feel that edge on mine as well and 2) I had scratched my screen within 3 weeks, permanent "finger prints" on the home button and back button. Glass does not scratch with a finger, even here in the desert where there...
