JoesProGTO,
Coyote equipped Mustangs don't really need headers, the factory tubular shorties are actually very good.
Same for cats, they keep the noise down (albeit they are a restriction), and keep the exhaust gas fumes in check so your eyes don't burn in a garage start-up!!
Stanzi,
Nice, clean install, great work!!
On the cats, if you do, for instance a 60 -130 pull, give it a few miles (normal driving) for the cats to cool, and they can live. It's the back to back stuff than can kill them.
My 2018 still has the stock cats with nearly 23K miles boosted (37K...
I have a 2018 S550 GT that I truly love.
I also have a 2024 S650 GT, and it took a while for me to "bond" with the S650. But I did.
The S650 is most definitely not inferior to the S550. As others indicated, get the dealer to check it out. A quick OBD scan will most likely let the...
Whipple Cold Air Intake. Only used about 1 month. Non-returnable, but it's like new. $300.00 shipped excluding HI and AK. Fedex Ground delivery. Not responsible for any in transit damage or porch pirates.
I'd like to keep a matching set. Maybe some Gorilla glue or JB weld :lying:
I think it's incredible how far technology has come when your car can tell precisely where it itches.
Luis,
This may not help, but I went with a Stage 1 Whipple then went with a tuner that data-logged my 2024 GT using incremental increases in rpm and load.
On 93 it pulls really hard.
I drove on the Whipple calibration for a short time, but I was not overly impressed.
Nothing may break if you drive it within it's limitations. If you beat the hell out of it, do back to back pulls w/o time for the CAT's to cool, and don't drive it like you stole it, the car can be reliable, even the CAT's.
Late Model Restoration SVE 355's look awesome (personal opinion) on the Gen 6 and 7.
Have the 355 staggered 19x10 front and 19x11 rear in Titanium/gray on my dark blue 2018.
Have the same staggered SVE's on my 2024 that came with the Ford factory bronze set up. Put the SVE 355's in bronze...
Alexk,
Don't waste your money on axles or drive shaft. If you are a "cruiser", you should be fine. My 2018 GT makes 780 to the wheel (A10) and my axles and drive shaft have held up perfectly for 22K miles boosted (36K+ total mileage).
I have had 24 roll-on's from roughly 60 mph and car is...
I put the Whipple "cold air intake system" on my 2024. IAT's shot up when in slow moving traffic or when idling.
Cold air my _ss!!
Bottom line, don't do it whether K&N, Whipple, whatever.
